Their stories, in their own voice, before they’re gone.

Memoryter interviews the person you love — out loud, in conversation, at their pace — and turns what they say into a book your family can keep.

How it works

  1. They talk

A gentle interviewer calls the conversation forward — one question at a time, at their pace, with no typing and nothing to learn. Twenty minutes is a good session.

  2. We listen

Every conversation is transcribed and the memories inside it are pulled out and kept: the people, the places, the years, the exact way they said it.

  3. It becomes a book

Chapters are written from what they actually said, quoting them directly. You read every chapter and approve it before it becomes part of the book.

What you end up with

A book of their life, in chapters — childhood, the people they loved, the work they did, what they learned. Their own sentences, quoted. The recordings themselves, kept. A PDF you can print, and a private page your family can read from anywhere.

Your family’s story stays yours

Private to the people you invite. Never used to train AI. Downloadable in full, and deletable in full, whenever you want. Read the privacy policy.

Questions

What if they’re not comfortable with computers?
They press one button and talk. There is no typing, no menu, and nothing to set up — you do the setup, they just have a conversation.
Who can read it?
Only the family members you invite. Stories are private, and are never shared, sold, or shown to anyone else.
What happens to the recordings?
They are stored privately with the story, and you can download or delete everything at any time. They are never used to train AI models.
What if they die before it’s finished?
The story does not expire and the recordings belong to your family. The book can be written from whatever was gathered — which is, often, the whole reason to start now.

The conversation you keep meaning to have.
